Bits and pieces.....
I grew up in the Bindrim family in East Troy, Wisconsin with my parents, 2 brothers and 1 sister, , dogs, cats, horses, rabbits, and chickens. I have always loved to draw and began by doing some lovely "wall art" for my mom at a very young age, for which I did not get a glowing review.
As a member of the Lakeland 4-H club, Elkhorn, WI, I received a Banker’s Night award at the Walworth County Fair for portraits of Arabian horses. My first printed work of an Arabian horse in light harness was on the cover of the Wisconsin Arabian Horse Association newsletter. Other projects include drawing the “bandstand” on the square in the village of East Troy which was used on a decorative plate and later became the logo for the East Troy Chamber of Commerce. The ever popular harness racing was featured on a commemorative plate for the Walworth County Fair.
My love now are my Field Spaniels; Clint, Hunter, and Charlize. I lucky enough to receive my first Field Spaniel from Becki Hirschy. I loved Canaan so much I knew I couldn't be without another one. Well you can't stop at just one, and the rest is history.
I hope you enjoy looking at my site, I love drawing and painting these friends/pets and watching them “come alive” it truly makes my heart swell.
ALL THINGS BRIGHT AND BEAUTIFUL
All things bright and beautiful,
All creatures great and small,
All things wise and wonderful,
The Lord God made them all.
Each little flower that opens,
Each little bird that sings,
He made their glowing colours,
He made their tiny wings.
The purple-headed mountain,
The river running by,
The sunset, and the morning
That brightens up the sky,
The cold wind in the winter,
The pleasant summer sun,
The ripe fruits in the garden,
He made them every one.
The tall trees in the greenwood,
The meadows where we play,
The rushes by the water,
We gather every day.
He gave us eyes to see them,
And lips that we might tell
How great is God Almighty,
Who has made all things well.
